Quality Documentation Distribution with Intranet Implementations

Establishing quality documentation system with an Intranet application is a topic of high interest at present. Appropriate procedures handling systems are vital for the management and development. There is a need for common theoretic basis especially from point of view of quality, environmental and safety systems. However, traditional theoretical frameworks for building and maintaining systems are not designed for hyperlinks and other new advanced technological solutions. This article reviews a new concept of management documentation system that uses business process management philosophy based tools structuring the system and latest Internet technology in distribution. A proposed hierarchy model for structuring documents and a model of classifying the documents are presented. Also other aspects of functions of quality and environmental documentation systems are considered. In addition to literature and conceptual research work, the essay includes also real-life examples. The essay describes a case study of project of re-writing a management documentation system and publishing it via company Intranet.
